New Probate service launched as part of Collins Stewart's expanding wealth service
Collins Stewart Wealth Management has added a Probate Service to its range of wealth services for UK residents. Targeted at both individuals and professionals the service is designed to simplify the complicated and time-consuming task of valuing an estate’s investment assets when someone dies.
When a person dies, their assets, including stocks and shares, must be valued and any tax paid, before beneficiaries can receive their entitlement, This service makes people’s lives easier and reduces the burden on a solicitor or accountant who may be winding up an estate.
Once the estate is wound up Collins Stewart can offer portfolio management services, as well as sell or transfer investments to the beneficiaries.
Symon Hawken, Chief Executive of Collins Stewart Wealth Management London, said:
“Collins Stewart has a heritage of innovation and managing wealth. This service is designed to ease the administrative and technical burden during an emotional time.
We treat all our customers individually and this service is about offering more than a valuation exercise. Our wealth management expertise makes this service unique in the marketplace. Probate valuation is often offered by administration firms rather than investment managers, so our expertise in knowing the investments as well as being able to value them will provide additional benefits.”
The Probate Service forms part of Collins Stewart wealth transfer range of products, which includes an Inheritance Tax service and investment management.
