Collins Stewart Wealth Management recognised by the Charity Times

Collins Stewart Wealth Management is in the running for a prestigious Charity Times award.

The firm has been short listed for the Professional Services category of the awards for 2007. This award is presented to a business that is deemed to have provided excellence in the services offered to the charity sector and the additional sector work in which the company engages.

Collins Stewart received its nominations for the varied and innovative wealth management work it conducts for charity clients covering discretionary and advisory services. The firm is also involved in numerous charity initiatives such as the Collins Stewart Challenge; and locally these have included the Moving Mountains Foundation, JSPCA, and the Maison Million Appeal.

The Charity Times is the most widely read charity industry magazine in the UK and this is the eighth year of hosting the awards. The awards aim to identify and praise those involved with the charity sector who have demonstrated professional excellence in their field.

Collins Stewart common sense approach to investing is popular with charities. Collins Stewart has acted as a financial adviser to charity clients since 1991 and currently one mandate we manage has over 300 charitable organisations as investors, including a number of charities in the Caritas Top 3000 by size. Looking after €5.9billion of assets (as at 31 March 2007) for clients means we have the infrastructure to undertake global research and the flexibility to act decisively on a client’s behalf.

Collins Stewart Wealth Management’s Mike Robertson, Head of the Wealth Management Charities Team, was proud to hear of the firm’s short listing:

“Collins Stewart strives to ensure an unmatched level of service for all our clients and those that are charities are certainly no exception. We have always maintained a strong ethical attitude both in how we do business and with regard to our community and social responsibilities.

Being able to use our common sense investment approach with charitable institutions is a source of considerable satisfaction, and being recognised by the charity sector for our excellence is a great honour.”

The awards are held on the evening of the 12 September at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London.
